Abstract

Regarding Admissibility Report 180/22 issued by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, concerning the petition filed by Raúl Córdova Dolz against the State of Chile, the report analyzes the specific circumstances of the case involving the so-called casas Copeva. It also examines the exhaustion of domestic remedies and explores the potential implications of the case proceeding to the contentious stage. A possible ruling by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights would not only set an important legal precedent in the area of the right to adequate housing but also offer a valuable opportunity to reflect on the underlying principles of Chile's housing policy.
