Enfoques Educacionales Journal is an open-access scientific journal published semiannually, with two issues per year in June and December, since 1998. It is edited by the Department of Education of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Universidad de Chile. The journal disseminates both the results obtained from scientific and technological research in the fields of Social Sciences and Education, as well as perspectives and discussions of specialized knowledge in these areas. The main topics covered by this publication include education at all levels and fields of impact. Preference is given to works conducted in Chile and Latin America. Articles and research papers may be published in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
The purpose of the journal is to support, promote, and disseminate specialized information and scientific knowledge, particularly those produced in Latin America, through the publication of full-text original articles with free access.
Thus, we position ourselves as a platform for valuing, making visible, and providing access to the production of educational and social scientific work from the contexts of the countries in our region.
Under the principle that knowledge should be available in the public space, supporting discussions and exchanges of ideas in contemporary society, we have adopted, since 2022, the updated Creative Commons license, version CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.
